Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior!
We have so much to thank God for as we travel through each day that God allows us to live. Our NCGCC family has sustained great losses. In spite of the pandemic, God has been faithful. In these unprecedented times, we still must be vigilant over our lives. Be careful and caring for each other. Be aware and consider wearing a mask and getting vaccinated. It is extremely important!
We are excited about returning face-to-face for our 89th Annual Convention Session in Orlando, Florida after two years of being apart. We truly missed being together. To begin this session, we will hold our National Day of Prayer on August 3, 2022, from midnight until noon. We will pray for the spiritual success of our convention and that God will be pleased with our presentation and service. Nationally, we will also come together to pray for our world, states, cities, homes, families and our NCGCC family.
We are surely aware as Mother Beatrice Brown pinned “Without God, we could do nothing.” So let us not grow weary in well doing through all these situations that we are facing each day. Our Precious Lord surely holds our hand.
In Love,
President Marabeth E. Gentry
National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses
Fostering and advancing an appreciation for Gospel music through performance, education, and training.
The National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses (NCGCC) was founded by Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey, the “Father of Gospel Music.” Every year since 1933, NCGCC convenes in a different city for its annual convention. The week-long event consists of daily classes, workshops, and plenary sessions featuring world renowned musical artists and guest speakers, nightly concerts, and a host of other activities. There’s something for all ages and for anyone who desires to gain or advance an appreciation for Gospel Music.
